Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications; create and maintain automated scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and related tools.
• Perform API/backend automation and validation; integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation testing; perform performance, load, and endurance testing using JMeter.
• Run tests across browsers, devices, and operating systems using cloud testing platforms.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution; analyze results and report to technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define test coverage; participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Improve frameworks, coverage, and QA processes, and own assigned testing activities and deliverables.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Automation: Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Java, Cucumber/BDD, API automation, and web and mobile automation; REST Assured is listed as preferred for API automation.
• Performance testing: JMeter and load, stress, and endurance testing.
• CI/CD and version control: Git/GitHub and GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
• Cloud testing: LambdaTest or a similar cloud-based browser/device testing platform.
• Additional skills listed: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, SQL/backend testing, and Agile/Scrum.

Education and Preferred Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Preferred experience includes building automation frameworks from scratch and working in banking, fintech, payments, or other enterprise applications.
• REST APIs and microservices, Android and iOS applications, and large Agile/Scrum teams are also listed as preferred experience.
• Playwright/Cypress is an advantage; BrowserStack, Perfecto, LambdaTest, or similar cloud/device testing platforms are cited.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to developers and stakeholders, show strong attention to detail, and work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
