Cloud DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure and platform services, including landing zones, networking, compute, storage, identity, and governance.
• Design Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automate build, testing, security validation, deployment, and rollback across environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Bicep; deploy Docker and Kubernetes workloads on AKS and OpenShift; maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.
• Apply DevSecOps controls, including RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and Azure Key Vault.
• Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, alerting, and observability; support production incidents, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Azure CLI, and REST APIs; support cloud cost optimization, utilization, capacity planning, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, security, infrastructure, database, and application support teams.
• Prepare architecture diagrams, technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and support guides.

Experience and Technical Requirements

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering, including 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience in enterprise production environments.
• Strong Azure expertise across IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, governance, security, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps experience with Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts, service connections, approvals, and release controls.
• Strong Terraform experience and working knowledge of Bicep or ARM templates.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, OpenShift, and Helm.
• Scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Azure CLI, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Datadog, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of Azure Key Vault, RBAC, managed identities, workload identities, network security, and DevSecOps.
• Understanding of Git, branching strategies, Linux, Windows Server, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, certificates, and HTTP/TLS.
• Experience supporting highly available, secure, business-critical platforms; strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Kubernetes, or Terraform certifications are an advantage.
