Cost estimation and tendering
- Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for MEP works.
- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other MEP systems.
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
Budgeting and cost control
- Manage project budgets and track costs against estimates.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and project cost reports.
- Identify and report potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.
Measurement and valuation
- Perform quantity take-offs from MEP drawings using relevant software.
- Measure and value variations and change orders.
- Assist with interim and final payment applications.
Contract administration
- Prepare subcontractor agreements and manage payments.
- Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Resolve contractual or commercial disputes.
Coordination and documentation
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and site teams for accurate documentation.
- Maintain project correspondence, drawings, and financial records.
- Prepare regular commercial reports for senior management.
Health and safety
- Ensure work adheres to company and legal health and safety standards.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of QS experience required.
