Job Summary
The QHSE Officer / Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems.
The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, client standards (including ADNOC), and international standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update all QHSE documentation, policies, procedures, and safety manuals in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Ensure effective implementation of QHSE management systems across all operations
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with ISO standards and company policies
- Prepare and manage HSE documentation such as PTW (Permit to Work), HSE Assurance Reports, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements and client-specific safety standards
- Coordinate and conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for employees
- Monitor workplace safety practices and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required
- Participate in incident investigations and prepare reports with preventive and corrective measures
- Act as a member of the emergency response team and support disaster recovery activities when required
- Attend internal meetings related to QHSE policies, performance, and improvements
- Ensure proper communication and reporting of QHSE performance to management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality, safety, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory)
- Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 & ISO 45001
- Basic knowledge of IOSH principles and safety practices
- Good understanding of ADNOC HSE requirements (PTW system, HSE Assurance, risk assessment)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in QHSE / HSE / QA roles (Oil & Gas or Marine industry preferred)
- Experience in handling audits, inspections, and safety documentation
- Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills
