QE Automation Engineer

Role overview

Testing and automation

• Design automated coverage for functional, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Build and maintain scalable Playwright and TypeScript automation frameworks and scripts.
• Develop and execute API tests, including validation of integrations and reliability.
• Convert manual regression cases into reusable automated coverage.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, monitor results, and improve feedback speed and reliability.

Team collaboration

• Partner with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues and provide timely feedback.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track fintech trends, emerging tools, and quality and financial-domain practices.

Experience and technical qualifications

• Requires 5–7+ years as a QA or QE engineer with substantial hands-on test-automation experience.
• Requires experience writing, debugging, and reviewing Playwright and TypeScript test scripts, or comparable modern automation technologies.
• Requires knowledge of framework architecture, test design patterns, maintainability, and quality-engineering practices.
• Requires API testing experience with tools such as Postman and Swagger.
• Requires testing experience with Salesforce and full-stack applications across UI, API, integration, and data layers.
• Requires version-control experience, including GitHub, Bitbucket, and SourceTree; Jira; and documentation tools Confluence and Zephyr Scale.
• Requires Agile and Scrum knowledge and experience in Agile environments.
• Financial services experience is a plus.
