Role overview

Kapitus is building automated regression capability to support faster, more confident releases and is hiring senior QE engineers.

The role works across products and teams to build scalable Playwright and TypeScript automation and convert manual regression tests into reusable automated coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Automate functional, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios; build and maintain Playwright/TypeScript frameworks.
  • Test APIs, troubleshoot issues with developers, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, monitor results, and improve reliability and feedback speed.
  • Convert manual cases into automated coverage and monitor fintech and QA developments.

Required experience and skills

  • Five to seven or more years as a QA/QE engineer with substantial hands-on test automation experience.
  • Playwright and TypeScript scripting, debugging, and review; strong automation framework architecture, test design, and maintainability knowledge.
  • API testing with Postman and Swagger; testing Salesforce and full-stack applications across UI, API, integration, and data layers.
  • Version control experience including GitHub, Bitbucket, and SourceTree; Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr Scale experience.
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration.
  • Basic security and performance testing knowledge.

Preferred skills

  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Python, SQL, JavaScript, Selenium, and Pytest are listed as nice-to-have skills.
  • Comparable modern automation technologies may be considered alongside Playwright and TypeScript.
