Role Overview
The role is a QA/QC Engineer supporting cable installation and transmission projects.
The employer delivers electrical wire, cable, power transmission, and communication solutions across infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, and quality requirements before work begins.
- Coordinate quality-related activities with the client, consultant, project manager, construction team, and subcontractors.
- Ensure cable installation follows approved cable pulling calculations, manufacturer recommendations, and project requirements.
- Ensure measuring and testing equipment is calibrated and supported by valid calibration certificates.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with the project Quality Management System.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least five years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction, infrastructure, or high-voltage or extra-high-voltage cable projects.
- Previous experience in TRANSCO or TAQA transmission projects is highly preferred.
- Experience in 132kV–400kV cable laying and transmission projects is advantageous.

- The role is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
- The work involves field quality activities for cable installation and transmission projects.
