Role overview

Purchasing responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and processing purchase orders in line with company policies and project timelines.
• Obtain supplier quotations, compare prices, and support negotiations to achieve best value.
• Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations and delivery schedules and resolve delivery, quality, quantity, or material discrepancies.
• Maintain purchasing records, quotations, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, warehouse, and other departments to confirm specifications and quantities.
• Monitor outstanding orders and ensure timely delivery against project requirements.
• Support supplier sourcing and cost-saving initiatives for the procurement team.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous purchasing or procurement experience; construction or electrical industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction materials, electrical products, or cables is an advantage.
• Strong organization and time management, attention to detail, and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and suppliers, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
