QA Engineer

About This Role

Key Responsibilities

· Define and maintain the overall test strategy: functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, performance, security, and usability testing.

· Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices mapped to requirements and acceptance criteria.

· Build and maintain automated test suites for web (Cypress/Playwright/Selenium), APIs (Postman/Newman/RestAssured), and mobile (XCUITest/Espresso/Appium) as appropriate.

· Set up test data management and environments; coordinate with DevOps to ensure stable, reproducible test setups.

· Perform exploratory testing focusing on critical workflows, edge cases, and failure scenarios (offline, degraded network, high load).

· Execute performance and load testing (JMeter/k6) to validate scalability, latency, and throughput targets.

· Support security testing by validating authentication/authorization, input validation, and common vulnerabilities; coordinate with security teams for assessments.

· Drive defect lifecycle management: clear bug reporting, severity prioritization, root cause support, and verification of fixes.

· Establish quality gates in CI/CD (static checks, automated tests, coverage thresholds) and participate in release readiness reviews.

· Monitor production quality signals (defect leakage, incident trends) and propose preventive actions.

· Collaborate closely with product, UX, and engineering to improve testability, acceptance criteria, and overall quality culture.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· 4+ years in QA/Software Testing with experience across web and/or mobile applications.

· Strong understanding of SDLC, test design techniques, and defect management best practices.

· Hands-on experience in test automation and CI integration.

· Experience testing APIs, authentication flows, and data-driven applications.

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; able to prioritize based on risk.

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
