Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced **Senior QA Engineer / Lead QA Engineer** with 15+ years of expertise in software quality assurance within the Oil & Gas industry.
The ideal candidate will lead QA initiatives for enterprise applications, industrial systems, digital transformation platforms, and operational technologies supporting upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
The role requires strong experience in automation testing, enterprise application testing, integration validation, and quality governance across complex environments.
Key Responsibilitiesquality Assurance & Testing
- Define and implement enterprise-level QA strategies and testing frameworks.
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Perform:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Regression Testing
- API Testing
- Performance Testing
- UAT Support
- Validate applications used in:
- Drilling Operations
- Production Monitoring
- Asset Management
- Refinery Systems
- Pipeline Monitoring
- HSE Applications
- ERP/SCADA integrations
Automation & Tools
- Design and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, and enterprise applications.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
Oil & Gas Domain Responsibilities
- Validate integrations with:
- SAP IS-Oil
- Maximo
- SCADA Systems
- PI Historian
- IoT/Telemetry platforms
- Ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Support digital transformation and industrial automation projects.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead QA teams across multiple projects and releases.
- Mentor QA engineers and automation testers.
- Coordinate with development, DevOps, business analysts, and vendors.
- Drive QA process improvements and quality governance.
- Participate in release management and production deployment validation.
Required Skillstechnical Skills
- Strong experience in Manual & Automation Testing
- API and Microservices Testing
• Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis
- CI/CD and DevOps testing practices
Experience With
- Java
- Python
- JavaScript
- Shell Scripting
Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- Upstream / Midstream / Downstream operations
- Asset integrity management
- Pipeline and refinery operations
- HSE compliance systems
- Industrial data integrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Preferred certifications:
- ISTQB
• Certified Agile Tester
- Automation Certifications
- Oil & Gas domain certifications (preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with ADNOC, Aramco, Shell, BP, Schlumberger, Halliburton, or similar organizations.
- Experience in enterprise digital transformation projects.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and Industrial IoT solutions.
