Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Executive to join their procurement team with a specific focus on the steel fabrication industry.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining strong vendor relationships, specifically in the context of steel fabrication.
The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential for our organization's operations within the steel fabrication sector.
The successful candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of procurement best practices within the steel fabrication industry.
Sourcing and Vendor Management
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors in the steel fabrication industry.
- Negotiate terms and conditions specific to steel fabrication to secure advantageous agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers in the steel fabrication sector.
Procurement Process
- Implement effective procurement strategies within the steel fabrication domain to achieve cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs in steel fabrication.
- Execute the end-to-end procurement process for steel fabrication, from requisition to delivery.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting
- Analyze market trends and pricing within the steel fabrication industry to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Monitor and control procurement-related costs specific to steel fabrication.
- Contribute to budget planning and adherence in the context of steel fabrication.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure that purchased products and services within the steel fabrication sector meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality control teams within the steel fabrication industry to address any issues.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules in the steel fabrication domain.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations within steel fabrication.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function, particularly in the context of steel fabrication.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices within steel fabrication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role, with 3 to 5 years of specific exposure in the steel fabrication industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships within steel fabrication.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with exposure in steel fabrication.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools, specifically those relevant to steel fabrication.
- Solid understanding of market trends and pricing within the steel fabrication sector.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
