Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement from purchase requisition through delivery and ensure timely material availability.
- Handle RFQs, vendor sourcing, three-quote comparisons, and commercial negotiations.
- Develop vendors for marine, oil and gas, and engineering spares.
- Track RFQs, requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor deliveries, including delay follow-up.
- Maintain SAP B1 records for requisitions, orders, goods receipts, material masters, and vendors.
- Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, Service, and Stores for procurement and delivery.
- Support inventory, bills of materials, HSN/FA codes, and documentation.
- Develop alternate vendors and maintain vendor performance records.
- Ensure applicable Incoterms, GST, and import or FTWZ documentation compliance.
Key Skills
- Procurement, vendor management, RFQ handling, negotiation, supply chain, and inventory management are required skill areas.
- SAP B1, Excel, Incoterms, HSN/GST, and import purchasing are relevant tools or domains.
- Marine, oil and gas, or heavy engineering experience is preferred.
Candidate Requirements
- 4–6 years of hands-on purchase or procurement experience is required.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and tight delivery timelines is required.
- Good communication, ownership, and follow-through are required.
- Experience in marine, oil and gas, or heavy engineering is preferred.
