About the role

Key responsibilities

• Assess and consult with adult and pediatric home healthcare patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
• Manage COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, restrictive lung disorders, and other complex respiratory conditions.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust respiratory medications, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive or invasive ventilation within approved clinical privileges.
• Manage sleep-disordered breathing, including obstructive sleep apnea, home sleep studies, and CPAP/BiPAP therapy.
• Conduct scheduled home visits across Dubai and provide specialist on-call support during agreed hours for urgent concerns and patient deterioration.
• Develop individualized respiratory care plans and guide respiratory therapists, nurses, and physiotherapists.
• Maintain clinical documentation and patient safety, complying with DHA regulations and healthcare standards.

Qualifications and experience

• DHA eligibility or an active DHA license as a Specialist or Consultant Pulmonologist, as applicable.
• At least two years of clinical experience in pulmonology or respiratory medicine.
• Strong experience managing adult respiratory conditions; pediatric respiratory care experience is highly desirable.
• Hands-on oxygen therapy, non-invasive and invasive ventilation, and tracheostomy management expertise is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of sleep medicine, sleep apnea assessment, home sleep studies, and CPAP/BiPAP management.
• Home healthcare, critical care, or complex respiratory patient management experience is an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Able to conduct Dubai home visits and provide on-call specialist support during agreed hours; available for part-time work with immediate or early joining.
