About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Government Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for all governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Interior, and other regulatory agencies. Facilitate necessary approvals, permits, and renewals related to the company's operations.
- Visa and Labour Compliance: Handle visa processing, work permits, residency documentation, and labour-related matters for employees in compliance with the UAE Labour Law. Ensure timely renewals and record-keeping.
- Document Processing: Process and track all required legal documents, including licenses, trade permits, and other official documents related to the company's operations within the UAE.
- Government Relations: Foster positive working relationships with key government officials and organizations, ensuring that the company is well-represented in governmental affairs and public sector dealings.
- Compliance & Legal Support: Ensure the company adheres to UAE laws and regulations related to employment, safety, environmental, and manufacturing standards. Assist in managing any legal issues involving local authorities.
- Internal Communication Support: Act as an internal point of contact for employees in relation to government services, providing guidance and resolving issues related to visas, permits, and other regulatory concerns.
- Public Relations Activities: Assist in managing the company s public image by supporting internal communications and promotional activities. Represent the company at external events, conferences, and meetings with local communities and authorities.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all government-related paperwork, including renewals, applications, and communications with authorities.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to any governmental inquiries, audits, or investigations, ensuring full cooperation while minimizing disruption to operations.
- Ensures 5S is implemented in the work area.
- Adheres to company s guidelines with regards to Safety and Quality.
Required Competences
- Ability to clearly communicate and negotiate with government agencies, stakeholders, and the public, both in Arabic and English.
- Ability to maintain meticulous records and ensure accuracy in all documents related to compliance and legal requirements.
- Capable of finding effective solutions to challenges or delays in documentation, visa processing, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on maintaining positive relationships with external agencies and internal teams.
