We are seeking a highly knowledgeable Public Programme Curator to lead the development and delivery of a public programme centred around Arabic language, culture, literature, media, storytelling, education, and contemporary cultural discourse.
The role requires a deep understanding of the Arabic language ecosystem and the ability to identify, engage, and manage leading academics, authors, poets, researchers, creators, media personalities, and cultural thought leaders from across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and curate a compelling programme of talks, panels, discussions, lectures, interviews, and public conversations.
- Research emerging trends, themes, and topics relevant to Arabic language, culture, literature, and identity.
- Identify, source, and manage speakers, moderators, academics, authors, poets, creators, and cultural experts.
- Build relationships with universities, cultural institutions, publishers, research centres, and industry experts.
- Develop session concepts, speaker briefs, discussion formats, and programme narratives.
- Coordinate speaker logistics, content requirements, briefing documents, and on-site delivery.
- Ensure all programme content aligns with project objectives and audience expectations.
- Work closely with communications and marketing teams to position programme content effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience curating conferences, cultural programmes, literary festivals, public forums, or knowledge-based events.
- Deep knowledge of Arabic language, literature, culture, media, and contemporary intellectual discourse.
- Established network of speakers, academics, authors, poets, creators, and cultural practitioners across the region.
- Exceptional research, writing, and content development skills.
- Native-level Arabic and fluent English.
- Based in Abu Dhabi or available to work on-site in Abu Dhabi.
