Role Overview
Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of public health initiatives to improve public health outcomes and support organisational objectives.
Oversee program delivery, resources, and collaboration with healthcare professionals and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop programs based on community needs; establish objectives, implementation plans, timelines, and measurable indicators.
- Coordinate daily operations and delivery; conduct needs assessments and research into public health challenges.
- Monitor performance and evaluate outcomes using relevant data and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, government agencies, community organisations, and other stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, staffing, resources, and operational expenditures.
- Develop public health education initiatives and awareness campaigns.
- Ensure activities align with public health policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Prepare progress reports, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Identify operational risks and solutions; supervise staff, assign responsibilities, and support team development.
- Build partnerships to expand program reach and community engagement; stay informed about public health trends, research, and evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- A master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in public health program management, healthcare operations, or community health initiatives.
- Strong understanding of program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Experience managing budgets, coordinating teams, and overseeing multiple projects.
- Ability to analyze data, assess outcomes, and develop practical recommendations.
- Leadership, communication, stakeholder management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of public health policies, health promotion strategies, and relevant compliance requirements.
