The role is accountable for end-to-end product ownership across Corporate Banking web and digital channels, including , Mobile Application, Host-to-Host connectivity, APIs, SWIFTNet, Open Finance capabilities and selected third-party platform integrations.
The Senior Product Owner leads prioritization of product investments, aligns cross-functional delivery teams, and ensures the product portfolio meets client, regulatory, operational and commercial objectives across markets.

Overview
This role is part of the central Digital Channels product team in the UAE and is responsible for shaping and delivering the strategic product agenda for Cash and Trade digital channel capabilities serving Corporate and Financial Institution clients across .
The role carries end-to-end ownership of channel products, covering vision, roadmap, prioritization, business case development, execution oversight, commercialization, performance management and governance.
Operating locations where GTB channel products are offered include GCC countries (United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman), Egypt, and International Corporate Centres in Hong Kong, New York, Mumbai and London, with additional expansion opportunities expected over time.
The Senior Product Owner is expected to lead global-to-local product rollout, market adaptation and feature prioritization, working closely with Country Product Managers, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Sales and Coverage teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption in each market.
Key Responsibilities
- **Own Product Vision and Roadmap**
- – define and continuously refine the strategic vision, value proposition and multi-horizon roadmap for channel products based on market opportunity, client needs, business priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure roadmap alignment with GTB strategy and enterprise transformation objectives.
- **Lead Product Prioritization and Delivery**
- – act as the senior business owner for the product backlog, prioritize features and initiatives based on value, risk and feasibility, and provide direction to cross-functional squads to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Drive clear scope definition, business requirements, acceptance criteria and release readiness.
- **Drive Client-Centric Innovation**
- – identify opportunities to launch new capabilities or improve existing journeys by leveraging market intelligence, analytics, client feedback, internal stakeholder input and emerging industry trends.
- Champion digital-first, scalable and user-centric solutions that improve experience and competitiveness.
- **Own Commercial Outcomes**
- – develop and monitor business cases, adoption targets, revenue and utilization goals for channel products.
- Partner with Sales, Coverage and Marketing to drive commercialization, client migration, usage growth and cross-sell opportunities, and take corrective action where performance is below target.
- **Lead Senior Stakeholder Alignment**
- – influence and align senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance and country teams to secure support for product priorities, resolve delivery constraints and ensure products are launched and managed within the Bank’s risk appetite and governance standards.
- **Strengthen Ecosystem and Partnerships**
- – evaluate and drive strategic partnerships with fintechs, platform providers and ecosystem participants where these can accelerate capability build-out, improve client reach, or strengthen competitive differentiation.
- Support commercial evaluation, onboarding and ongoing partner performance management.
- **Manage Product Performance and Lifecycle**
- – continuously monitor product performance across adoption, client satisfaction, stability, operational efficiency, financial returns and control metrics.
- Drive optimization initiatives, reprioritize investments, and recommend enhancement, scaling or retirement decisions across the product lifecycle.
- **Ensure Governance, Compliance and Control**
- – maintain strong product governance by embedding regulatory, legal, operational and risk requirements into design and delivery.
- Ensure supporting product documentation, control frameworks, market addenda and governance approvals are current, complete and aligned with internal policies and external obligations.

Digital channel products are evolving rapidly due to changes in client expectations, platform-based business models, real-time service needs, open banking trends, API-led connectivity, embedded finance and increasing demand for seamless corporate banking experiences across web, mobile and host-to-host channels.
At the same time, the payments and transaction banking ecosystem continues to transform through ISO 20022 adoption, instant payment schemes, interoperability initiatives, digital identity models and tighter integration across bank and non-bank platforms.
These shifts require strong product leadership to balance speed, scalability and control.
The role operates in a highly regulated environment where anti-money laundering, sanctions, data governance, cyber resilience and market-specific regulatory requirements must be embedded into product strategy and execution.
Success depends on balancing innovation, client value and growth with disciplined governance and operational robustness.
The Senior Product Owner must work across a complex stakeholder ecosystem, influencing Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Architecture, Sales, Coverage and country teams to deliver outcomes.
The ability to align diverse stakeholders around product priorities and execution trade-offs is critical to the role.

- Apply structured, data-driven analysis to identify market opportunities, client pain points, product gaps and underperformance drivers, and translate these into prioritized actions
- Evaluate complex trade-offs across customer value, technology constraints, risk considerations, cost and delivery timelines to support sound prioritization and release decisions
- Design practical and scalable solutions by challenging conventional approaches, promoting digital-first thinking, and leveraging buy-versus-build, platform and partnership options where appropriate
- Anticipate and manage regulatory, operational and control implications early in the product lifecycle to reduce execution risk and improve delivery outcomes
- Resolve cross-functional blockers through influence, structured problem-solving and alignment across business and enabling functions
Decision Making Authority & Responsibility
- End-to-end ownership of channel product priorities, backlog decisions and release sequencing within approved strategy and governance boundaries
- Authority to make day-to-day product decisions on scope, feature prioritization, customer journey improvements and execution trade-offs in coordination with relevant stakeholders
- Accountability for product performance, client adoption, delivery outcomes and governance adherence across the assigned portfolio
- Responsibility to escalate material investment, risk, policy or market expansion decisions to the appropriate governance and management forums
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in product management, digital channels, transaction banking or closely related business and delivery functions
- Strong understanding of corporate digital banking channels, cash management, connectivity solutions and associated client journeys
- Demonstrated experience in defining product strategy, managing roadmaps and successfully delivering and commercializing digital products or major enhancements
- Hands-on experience working in agile product delivery environments with strong understanding of backlog management, prioritization and release planning
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively across senior business and functional leadership
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capability with the ability to use data to drive product decisions
- Good understanding of regulatory, operational risk and governance considerations relevant to transaction banking and digital channel products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate product direction, priorities and value propositions clearly
- People leadership, coaching or squad leadership experience is preferred
