Project Procurement Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement from early project development through execution and contract closeout.
• Define contracting strategies and technical and commercial scopes with engineering and project management.
• Manage tenders, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and awards for equipment and construction services, including BOP/EPC, grid, and main equipment packages.
• Manage contract execution, change control, claims, risk mitigation, and on-site commercial follow-up.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors in key markets.
• Coordinate input from engineering, sustainability, legal, HSE, finance, and project teams.
• Align procurement with Group Category strategies and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in large, complex energy or infrastructure procurement, ideally spanning multiple technologies.
• Proven construction- or execution-phase contract management expertise.
• Strong commercial and legal background; EPC, BOP/BOS, NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract experience.
• Familiarity with UK/Irish and/or global supplier markets.
• Understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, logistics, and cost drivers.
• Degree in engineering, business, or a related field; fluent in English.
• Jaegger or similar procurement platform experience is advantageous.
• Must be eligible for security clearance and authorization.

Work arrangement

• Hybrid working is offered.
• The position can be based in Cork, London, or Glasgow.
