Project Procurement Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement from early development through execution and contract closeout.
• Define contracting strategies and shape technical and commercial scopes with engineering and project management.
• Manage tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract awards for equipment and construction services.
• Oversee contract execution, change control, claims, risk mitigation, and on-site commercial follow-up.
• Build supplier and contractor relationships in key markets.
• Coordinate input across engineering, sustainability, legal, HSE, finance, and project teams.
• Align procurement with Group Category strategies and support process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in large, complex energy or infrastructure procurement, ideally across multiple technologies.
• Proven contract management expertise during construction or execution.
• Strong commercial and legal background; experience with EPC, BOP/BOS, NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract models.
• Familiarity with UK/Irish and/or global supplier markets; understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, logistics, and cost drivers.
• Degree in engineering, business, or a related field; fluent English.
• Procurement platform experience such as Jaegger is advantageous.
• Applicants must be eligible for security clearance and authorisation.

Working arrangement

• The role can be based in Cork, London, or Glasgow.
• Hybrid working is offered.
