Overview
Manage civil and structural design projects in the Bridges and Civils team within AtkinsRéalis Transportation business.
Projects span transportation, rail, highways, local authority, water, nuclear, and other civil engineering sectors across the UK, Ireland, and internationally.
The role is offered at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level.
Your role
- Manage designs for new construction, renewals, maintenance, and assessments.
- Collaborate with national and international design teams.
- Manage sketches, drawings, calculations, reports, specifications, and other design documentation.
- Independently manage projects and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Lead structural, railway civil engineering, bridges, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Develop scopes and manage budgets, programmes, quality, and the internal technical supply chain.
- Lead bids and tenders, win work, and develop client relationships.
About you
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline with relevant practical experience.
- Professional qualification, professional institution membership, or Project Management qualification is preferred.
- Practical transportation project management experience.
- Experience with Network Rail, HS2, local authorities, or major contractors and developers.
- NEC4 Project Management Accreditation or demonstrable NEC4 project management experience.
- Experience bidding for and winning work.
- Strong interpersonal, project management, commercial awareness, financial control, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage specialist suppliers, independent checkers, local authorities, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
