Role overview

Project and logistics responsibilities

• Ensure teams develop effective procedures and systems to improve departmental efficiency.
• Direct short- and long-term supply programs and identify appropriate transportation programs.
• Provide commercial and technical evaluations and recommendations; supervise technical reports for tender boards.
• Manage logistics services and third parties, including freight-forwarding contractor performance and contract scope.
• Organize shipping feasibility studies, maintain contingency plans, and keep alternative transport arrangements under review.
• Manage storage-facility security, safety, maintenance, design, capacity, shelving, and equipment requirements.
• Manage material inventory and custody, receipt, inspection, storage, and processing of damaged or rejected items.
• Ensure hazardous materials are identified and safely stored, safety data sheets are current, and personnel receive safe-handling training.
• Manage shelf-life materials, warehouse security, equipment maintenance, and lifting-equipment certification.
• Schedule and assign employees; monitor section budgets, infrastructure, and staffing; supervise team performance and HSE compliance.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• 12 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, and industrial projects.
• Expertise in project management from inception to completion.
