Project and investment assessment

• Review proposals, design bases, mass and energy balances, assumptions, strategies, technical robustness, project economics, HSE, and energy efficiency.
• Review feasibility, Pre-FEED, FEED, and other studies and provide input for stage-gate approval decisions.
• Coordinate proposal evaluations and Investment Committee submissions; support special studies, task forces, performance reviews, integrity reviews, inspections, and audits.

Project reviews and management

• Review project matters from FEED through close-out, including technical and economic issues, contracting strategy, contract terms, consultant and bidder selection, completion analysis, and lessons learned.
• Coordinate stakeholders to help projects meet approved budget, timeline, quality, lifecycle, capacity, and HSE standards and applicable laws and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with the Project Value Assurance Process; review monthly progress reports, concerns, and proposed mitigation measures.
• Promote fair and transparent dealings with project consultants, contractors, and manufacturers.
• Maintain technical support MIS data and records of best practices and lessons learned.

Controls, HSE, and handover

• Monitor cost, schedule, and progress through final acceptance and maintain effective planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting systems.
• Support HSE performance targets and integrate sustainability into work practices.
• Follow up on completion and commissioning readiness, pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, performance against design and construction requirements, and warranty checks.

International projects and commercial support

• Support business development during identification of international opportunities and follow project implementation through completion and handover.
• Ensure international projects comply with HSE standards, local laws, international conventions, and joint-venture mandates; support project implementation strategies and interim oversight arrangements.
• Help ensure commercial and technical requirements and ADNOC execution guidelines are implemented.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least eight years of relevant professional experience in technical and projects engineering or management in the oil, gas, and refining industry.
• Good knowledge of industry best practices, technology trends, and applicable legislation and regulations.
• Good skills with project management software.
• PMP certification is preferred.
