Houle Electric is recruiting a Project Manager/Estimator, Service Projects, for its Service division in the Burnaby office.
The role combines business development, electrical estimating, project management, financial oversight, and customer coordination.
Project Responsibilities
- Work with clients to identify potential business opportunities and estimate projects for tender submission.
- Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions.
- Manage billing, purchasing, schedules, labour, project financials, risk, deficiencies, and estimate changes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, field staff, and customers to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with expectations.
- Attend jobsites when required and review completed projects with the foreman and superintendent.
Experience and Education
- Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree, or Electrical Technologist diploma or certificate.
- At least two years of experience in electrical project management and/or estimating.
- Experience estimating projects and change orders.
- Experience in electrical service commercial projects is preferred.
Skills and Assets
- Strong relationship-building, attention to detail, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are required.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office, Procore, and Teams are required.
- FSR B certification and experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid, are assets.

Compensation
- Salary is $85,000 to $100,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package.
- Actual salary depends on experience, skills, and overall fit for the position.
