TAQA Distribution construction works to replace deteriorated and non-repairable electrical distribution equipment across the Central, Eastern, and Western Regions.
Experience and technical requirements
- At least five years of UAE experience as a Project Manager in electrical infrastructure projects, particularly 11kV distribution systems.
- Previous TAQA Project Manager Competency/Approval is mandatory.
- Strong experience in 11kV cable laying, jointing, termination, and testing.
- Hands-on experience with distribution substations, RMUs, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and associated medium-voltage equipment.
- Experience installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining 11kV systems, with exposure up to 33kV.
- Experience in project planning and execution, resource management, subcontractor coordination, HSE compliance, quality control, and testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of TAQA electrical regulations, authority requirements, and project documentation.
- Strong client and consultant coordination, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and certificates
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- MOE Equivalency Certificate.
- TAQA Competency Certificate/Approval.
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- Immediate joiners or candidates available within 15 days are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Manage electrical distribution infrastructure replacement construction works for TAQA Distribution across the Central, Eastern, and Western Regions.
- Plan and execute project activities, managing resources and coordinating subcontractors.
- Coordinate 11kV cable laying, jointing, termination, and testing work.
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of 11kV systems, with exposure up to 33kV.
- Coordinate work involving distribution substations, RMUs, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and related medium-voltage equipment.
- Manage HSE compliance, quality control, and testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants and ensure project documentation meets authority requirements and TAQA electrical regulations.
