Project Manager - Delivery (Theme Park Show)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Set show project timelines, prepare EOIs, PQQs, RFPs, and proposals, establish budgets, and maintain lifecycle documentation.
• Coordinate internal teams and external resources; communicate guidelines and deadlines clearly.
• Assess risks, anticipate client and stakeholder needs, and implement issue resolution.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks, check in with team members, and track completion and deliverables.
• Provide regular progress updates to internal teams, external resources, clients, and stakeholders.
• Manage client and IP relationships and hold contributors accountable for deadlines.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and workload; deliver to tight deadlines.
• Train and support junior colleagues' professional development.

Requirements and qualifications

• A Higher National Diploma in set design, performing arts, or a related field is the stated minimum.
• A bachelor's degree in performing arts or a similar related field is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in set design, show production, or similar, leading complex projects from initiation through closure in entertainment.
• Theme park or similar location-based entertainment experience is preferred; multiple-project experience is well regarded.
• Prior experience managing a show team and understanding scripts, show technologies, media, and show control.
• Show and entertainment design, engineering, and safety standards knowledge is preferred.
• Understanding of water-based shows and technologies, AV, projection mapping, SFX, and show-control delivery is important.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, and digital project tools.
• PMP or other project-management certification is desirable but not required; PMP or CSM certification is well regarded.
• Use enterprise-level management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Aconex, or similar systems.
• Strong written and verbal English skills; Japanese and/or Arabic are highly regarded but not essential.
• Proactive delivery, stakeholder alignment, training, collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
