The Role
Lead foundation, piling and shoring projects from mobilization to handover, owning planning, site resources, team performance, budget and client relationships.
Report to the Projects Director and deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
Project Planning and Delivery
- Gather project scope, specifications, approved designs, shop drawings and authority NOCs; ensure shop drawings are submitted on time.
- Prepare project schedules, organization charts and workforce plans; secure approval of method statements and quality and HSE documentation before work begins.
- Coordinate site activities with subcontractors and suppliers; manage risk and track time, cost, quality, safety and sustainability targets.
- Schedule pile and material tests, close non-conformities, lead inspections and snag close-out, and secure the Taking Over Certificate.
Resources, Budget and Team
- Plan mobilization of workforce, equipment, materials and subcontractors, and align procurement and supply chain with the project plan.
- Estimate, monitor and control construction costs against specifications and budget.
- Lead and supervise site teams, enforce company policies and standards, and monitor productivity against the schedule.
Clients and Consultants
- Manage client and consultant relationships from initial test piles through completion, including changes to deliverables.
- Coordinate external design consultants and follow up on approvals, insurances and bonds.
- Lead weekly project meetings and prepare daily progress reports for management and clients.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related field, and 10+ years of ground engineering construction experience in piling, foundations or shoring.
- Strong Project Manager track record and recognized project management certification, such as PMP.
- Knowledge of construction materials, processes, equipment, QA/QC and technical drawings; strong planning, cost control, risk management and budget management skills.
- Proficiency in Primavera, AutoCAD and MS Office; strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent English and a valid UAE driving license; Arabic is a plus.
- UAE/GCC construction practices and authority approvals experience is an advantage.
