Role overview

Project and O&M delivery

• Manage multiple O&M contracts for electrical substations and switchyards and lead site managers, engineers, supervisors, and O&M personnel.
• Ensure safe and reliable operation of EHV/HV/MV systems, substations, and related equipment.
• Plan preventive, predictive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance.
• Drive customer KPIs for availability, reliability, response time, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor schedules, staffing, subcontractors, inventory, project reviews, and timely reporting.
• Lead root cause analysis for major breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Contract, customer, and financial management

• Manage customer relationships and interact regularly with plant management, utility representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Manage contract administration, resource planning, budgets, cost control, and profitability.
• Oversee billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, collections, and project financial performance.
• Support customer engagement, contract renewals, and additional service opportunities.
• Drive digitalization, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement across sites.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, customer specifications, and company policies.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 20 to 25 years of experience in testing and commissioning, and O&M of EHV substations and related electrical equipment.
• At least 5 years in a responsible managerial position overseeing maintenance of substations, switchyards, and power distribution systems.
• Strong expertise with 400kV, 220kV, 132kV, 66kV, 33kV, and 11kV electrical systems.
• Experience managing large O&M contracts, projects across multiple locations, and cross-functional teams.

Technical and leadership capabilities

• Knowledge of AIS/GIS substations, transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, protection relays, SCADA, battery systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Capabilities in leadership, customer and contract management, planning, budgeting, and team development.
• Understanding of EHS, electrical safety regulations, PTW, LOTO, statutory compliance, and industry practices.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
