Project Manager

Job purpose and context

Planning and customer management

• Lead end-to-end switchgear and RTU projects with complex bills of materials and strategic importance; develop plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary contact for key customers and internal stakeholders; conduct reviews and status updates and align expectations with internal capabilities.
• Achieve monthly customer SIOP targets and follow up on timely payments, letters of credit, and post-dated cheques against targets.
• Manage internal project teams and coordinate across functions.

Technical and commercial delivery

• Coordinate factory acceptance testing for orders requiring inspection, close comments, and secure dispatch clearance.
• Review high-value quotations, technical specifications, and configurations; coordinate with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and production for feasibility and compliance.
• Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate with sales, order handling, logistics, and finance; align internal teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors on milestones.
• Ensure documentation, invoicing, and project closure are completed on time; maintain schedules, budgets, and communications.
• Act as technical liaison for medium-voltage switchgear and automation projects; support solution integration, BOM cost optimization, pre-sales guidance or demonstrations where in scope, and customer training as needed.
• Report project status, risks, and financial performance; support audits and post-project reviews.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Five to ten years of project management experience, preferably in electrical distribution or industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of power and automation systems, electrical distribution networks, and BOM structures.
• Proficiency in project tools such as MS Project or Primavera and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic-speaking ability is an advantage.
• Customer coordination experience is required; prior experience with UAE utilities is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving license is required; owning a car is preferred.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
