Al Zan Carpentry Works seeks a Project Estimator for joinery and fit-out work.
The role turns sketches, mockups, and drawings into clear, accurate, profitable quotations.
Estimation and costing
- Analyze sketches, concept designs, shop drawings, and BOQs to determine scope.
- Prepare material take-offs for MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware, finishes, and related materials.
- Calculate costs using current UAE rates for materials, labor, and subcontracting.
- Factor in production time, installation requirements, and site conditions.
Quotation management
- Prepare and deliver fast, accurate, professional quotations.
- Maintain competitive quotes while protecting margins.
- Revise quotations for client feedback or design changes.
- Work with sales to improve win rates through smarter pricing.
Supplier and technical coordination
- Source current supplier and vendor pricing, maintain a reliable supplier network, and track material and labor market changes.
- Interpret drawings, identify missing details and costing risks, and coordinate feasibility with production and site teams.
- Highlight cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years as an estimator in joinery, fit-out, or carpentry works.
- Strong understanding of joinery materials and finishes, manufacturing processes, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and sketches.
- Proven material take-off and cost-estimation experience.
- Strong Excel proficiency and ability to deliver accurate quotations quickly under pressure.
Employment and pay
- Job type is permanent.
- Pay is AED 3,000–4,000 per month.
