Joinery Manager

Role overview

Production and project coordination

• Plan and supervise factory production, schedules, manpower, machinery, and materials; resolve issues and meet production targets.
• Coordinate with sales, estimation, design, procurement, and site teams; review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and production requirements.
• Monitor project timelines, attend meetings when required, coordinate variations, and meet production and installation milestones.

Factory, quality, and materials

• Manage daily factory operations, equipment servicing, workflow, productivity, storage, housekeeping, and safety.
• Inspect finished work and maintain quality in production, finishing, assembly, delivery, and installation while reducing defects and rework.
• Review material requirements, coordinate procurement, verify material quality, monitor consumption, and reduce waste.

Installation, teams, cost, and safety

• Coordinate production and installation schedules, supervise installation teams when needed, conduct site visits, and resolve site issues.
• Supervise carpenters, machine operators, polishers, installers, supervisors, and factory staff; assign work, monitor performance, and provide training.
• Monitor production costs and labor productivity; improve resource use and support estimation with production input and cost-saving ideas.
• Enforce safety procedures and PPE use, conduct inspections, and report incidents and corrective actions.

Experience and technical knowledge

• Requires 7–10 years of joinery manufacturing and interior fit-out experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Requires knowledge of custom furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, reception counters, doors, wall paneling, and retail, commercial, hotel, or hospitality joinery.
• Requires ability to interpret shop and technical drawings, BOQs, and material cutting lists.
• Requires understanding of MDF, plywood, veneer, solid wood, laminates, HPL, PU painting, veneer polishing, hardware systems, and woodworking machinery.

Skills

• Strong leadership, people management, planning, organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Requires knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and project reporting.

Preferred qualifications

• UAE joinery and interior fit-out experience, experience across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, or office fit-out, and production planning knowledge are preferred.
• A valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
