Role overview
Project Engineer reporting to the Project Manager for the Middle East region and based in Dubai.
Supports project management, design and execution of security systems projects, as well as pre-sales and estimation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
- Conduct site surveys and coordinate subcontractors for installation work.
- Monitor compliance with codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Work with clients to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.
- Determine cost estimate targets and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 6–8 years of project engineering experience executing low-voltage physical security systems in the UAE.
- Comprehensive knowledge of access control, CCTV, intercom, gate barrier and intrusion systems.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, team management, influencing, analytical, planning, costing and execution skills.
- Ability to produce professional documents and understand contractual obligations and client/vendor communications.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Systems and capabilities
- Physical security systems including access control, CCTV, intercom, networks and associated peripherals.
- Project design, execution, estimation, costing, site surveying and QA/QC compliance.
