Role overview

Hands-on delivery lead for internally managed Place Vendome projects, converting operational needs into scopes, coordinated designs, work programmes and completed works.

Initial focus includes external traffic flow, access, parking, internal vehicle routing, wayfinding and signage reorganization.

Primary accountability is successful project delivery; AutoCAD production and stewardship of the PVQ drawing archive are essential supporting duties.

Project delivery and controls

  • Deliver assigned projects from brief and feasibility through design, procurement, implementation, testing, handover and close-out.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes, deliverables, responsibility matrices, programmes, budgets, risk registers and approval schedules.
  • Maintain action, decision, risk, change and issue logs; coordinate project parties, chair meetings, record decisions and escalate concerns.
  • Support tendering and technical evaluations; monitor commitments, variations, scope, budget and progress.
  • Verify completed work, manage snags and ensure approvals, warranties, handover files and as-built information are complete.

Traffic, parking and signage

  • Lead field surveys of routes, entrances, queues, conflict points, pedestrian interfaces, loading, taxi and valet operations, emergency access and peak conditions.
  • Coordinate traffic studies and develop practical road, access, parking and internal vehicle-routing proposals.
  • Plan phased work and temporary traffic management to protect customer access, operations, emergency routes and business continuity.
  • Maintain coordinated sign-location plans, message schedules and wayfinding packages aligned with traffic changes and PVQ brand standards.
  • Conduct field checks, measurements, photo records, mock-up reviews and post-implementation observations; correct drawing discrepancies.

Design and technical assurance

  • Review architectural, civil, structural, MEP, life-safety, parking, traffic and signage information for coordination, buildability and operational impact.
  • Check designs against verified site conditions and identify missing information or practical constraints before construction.
  • Prepare marked-up drawings, sketches, technical details, quantities and presentation materials for communication and approvals.
  • Address applicable codes, HSE, accessibility, fire and life safety, mall standards, permits and authority requirements.
  • Plan work in occupied areas with permits, isolations, logistics, protection, housekeeping and reinstatement controls.

AutoCAD, records and reporting

  • Use AutoCAD to prepare or revise site plans, circulation layouts, signage plans, coordination drawings and as-built records.
  • Administer the PVQ drawing archive, register, folder structure, naming, metadata, revisions, issue status and access permissions.
  • Keep concept, review, approved-for-construction and as-built information controlled; prevent obsolete drawings from use.
  • Check consultant and contractor CAD submissions for quality, coordinates, layers, references, completeness and PVQ standards.
  • Report weekly on progress, look-ahead activities, cost, risks, decisions and support needed; maintain auditable project records.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years delivering refurbishment, civil, infrastructure or operational projects hands-on.
  • Demonstrated delivery experience in a complex live commercial asset; mall, traffic, parking, access, wayfinding or signage experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced AutoCAD proficiency and experience with drawing registers, CAD archives, document control and as-built close-out.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is preferred; MMUP/UPDA registration may be required for assigned duties.
  • Qatar/GCC project experience and a valid driving licence are advantageous.

Competencies and tools

  • Project controls include practical scheduling, budgeting, risk management, change control, procurement support and close-out.
  • Requires field orientation, technical judgement, clear reporting, meeting leadership, stakeholder management, contractor direction and ownership.
  • Digital tools include AutoCAD, Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software, Excel, PowerPoint and electronic document-management systems; BIM/Revit familiarity is advantageous.
