Project Engineer

About Us

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day management of assigned projects and provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager.
• Monitor contractor, consultant, and supplier performance against approved programs, milestones, and contractual obligations.
• Review project progress reports, schedules, recovery plans, and look-ahead programs, and identify potential delays and risks.
• Coordinate with consultants to ensure timely review and approval of technical submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and authority submissions.
• Follow up on authority approvals, permits, NOCs, inspections, and utility connections with relevant stakeholders.
• Attend site inspections and progress meetings with contractors, consultants, master developers, and authorities, and prepare meeting minutes and action trackers.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and project procedures.
• Assist in reviewing variation orders, claims, extension of time requests, and commercial submissions, and provide technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with internal departments including Design, Procurement, Commercial, Legal, CRM, Marketing, Finance, and Handover teams to support project requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, correspondence, approvals, and records in accordance with company procedures.
• Track project risks, issues, and outstanding actions and ensure timely resolution through coordination with relevant parties.
• Support the preparation of management reports, KPI reports, project dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Assist in project handover activities, authority closeout requirements, as-built documentation, and final completion procedures.
• Ensure compliance with master developer requirements, construction management plans, logistics plans, and project-specific regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineering registration is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or real estate development projects.
• Experience in developer-side project management is preferred.
• Experience with high-rise residential, mixed-use, and infrastructure projects is preferred.

Preferred Attributes

• Strong understanding of construction contracts and project delivery processes.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority requirements and approval processes.
• Ability to review project schedules and monitor progress.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
