Project Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination to meet timelines and budgets.
• Review specifications, drawings, and contracts for design and contractual compliance.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Procure materials, equipment, and services and ensure timely delivery to project specifications.
• Monitor progress and work quality, identify risks or delays, and take mitigating action.
• Maintain reports, drawings, change orders, RFIs, and other project records.
• Assist with cost estimates, budget management, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate permits, approvals, and inspections with regulatory agencies; ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Communicate project updates to clients, consultants, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Attend project meetings, contribute to problem-solving, and provide technical expertise and support.

Knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of construction project management methods, construction principles, techniques, and materials.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• ERP knowledge, with SAP functional skills identified as a requirement.
• Communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience and education

• Minimum 8 years of work experience, including 5 years of relevant experience.
• Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
• Professional MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering.
