Job objective
Support schedule and cost management so projects can be completed within approved baselines.
Project initiation and planning
- Establish schedule and cost baselines with the respective Project Managers.
- Create agreed baselines in Primavera P6.
Schedule and cost control
- Track schedules and milestones, identify and escalate delays, and recommend preventive or corrective actions.
- Track project costs against approved budgets, update cashflows, and escalate matters affecting costs.
- Support contract administration, including reviewing progress payment applications and compliance with basic commercial terms.
Reporting and coordination
- Prepare management reports, assist with project management plans and closeout reports, and prepare project updates and presentations.
- Attend kick-off and progress meetings; review baseline programmes and monitor contractor schedules.
- Review contractors' Extension of Time claims and assist with contractual correspondence.
Tender and SAP activities
- Support tender documentation, monitor tender timelines against the project baseline, and report on tender progress.
- Handle SAP Project System activities, including project definitions, WBS elements, purchase requisitions, LVPOs, and service entry sheets.
Minimum qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling.
- Proficiency in planning software, including Primavera P6.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Extension of Time claims.
- Experience in pre-contract activities such as tender processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and working experience with an ERP application such as SAP.
