Role overview

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the global BCMS.
• Help functions and sites identify critical activities, dependencies, recovery requirements, and single points of failure.
• Coordinate BCMS Playbook actions and milestones; maintain continuity, crisis management, and recovery documentation.
• Chair BCMS Steering Committee meetings and coordinate Abcam-Danaher continuity priorities and activities.
• Lead the global sustainability strategy in alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and Danaher objectives.
• Drive environmental initiatives and measurable improvement in ESG performance, compliance, and long-term resilience.
• Lead the FM Global program and stakeholder management for risk mitigation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business continuity, environmental science, sustainability, risk management, business administration, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in business continuity, sustainability, environmental management, or related fields in a global organisation.
• Working knowledge of ISO 22301, ISO 14001, and other relevant management system standards.
• Proven collaboration across organisational levels and experience influencing stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Able to work independently in a global matrix environment.
• Strong project management skills for delivering multiple projects and improvement initiatives.

Preferred experience

• Life science sector experience and familiarity with a laboratory environment are a plus.
