A Medical Representative (Hospital)

acts as the primary link between pharmaceutical companies and hospital healthcare professionals (doctors, specialists, pharmacists), promoting and selling medical products to meet sales targets.

They organize presentations, provide technical information on dosages and benefits, build long-term relationships, monitor competitor activity, and maintain accurate records of visits, typically working in targeted hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Promotion:
  • Actively promote and sell pharmaceutical products, medication, or equipment specifically to hospital doctors, specialists, and hospital pharmacies.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and medical professionals within healthcare institutions.
  • Scientific Education:
  • Conduct presentations, meetings, and briefings to educate medical staff on product benefits, clinical trials, dosages, and side effects.

• Sales Target Management

  • Meet or exceed agreed-upon sales targets and KPIs, monitoring performance against business plans.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Analyze local market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to identify opportunities.
  • Reporting:
  • Submit regular reports to managers detailing visits, product feedback, and sales, often using CRM software
