Position overview

Minimum qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Professional licensure process close to completion; LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, parametric and rendering software, and Adobe Suite.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.

Position responsibilities

• Lead assigned project portions and exercise initiative, problem-solving, and precision.
• Produce or oversee diagrams, 3D models, drawings, renderings, physical models, animations, and contract deliverables.
• Communicate with project teams, consultants, and clients using written, oral, and visual methods.
• Develop conceptual designs and integrate interdisciplinary criteria.
• Collaborate in evaluating ideas across project and studio teams.
• Apply knowledge of materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques.
• Manage workload and deadlines; guide and teach less experienced staff.

Leadership responsibilities

• Mentor and train staff, set expectations, empower others, and delegate based on their abilities.
• Contribute to clear work plans for project budgets, deliverables, and schedules.
• Participate in professional development and help implement sustainable strategies.
• Contribute to standards, policies, and procedures and help protect SOM from financial and legal risk.
