Technology role supporting mission-critical bank IT systems, operational efficiency, and service levels.
Work arrangement and schedule
- The role is explicitly hybrid.
- An eight-hour shift is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on any five days per week, including weekends.
- On-call or pager duties are not required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, restore, change, and support mission-critical systems and daily operations.
- Monitor service desk requests; coordinate incident management, production changes, and third-party incident support.
- Execute failover and disaster recovery for infrastructure and applications.
- Partner with development teams on solutions using enterprise monitoring and logging, with minimal maintenance.
- Track system performance, resolve issues, and identify operational improvements.
- Lead or conduct incident recovery and root cause analysis; deploy manual code to production.
- Analyze strategic problems and data, and configure solutions to complex technology issues.
Experience and knowledge
- 3–5 years of SQL experience, including complex queries, analysis, optimization, validation, and troubleshooting.
- 3–4 years of data warehousing experience, including ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data quality.
- 2–3 years of Linux experience, including file management, process monitoring, log analysis, scripting, and troubleshooting.
- 2–3 years supporting ESP Workstation or equivalent workload automation and scheduling tools.
- Typically 4–6 years of IT or business experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow, and AutoSys or Control-M experience are assets.
