Production Manager – Perfume Manufacturing Industry

Role overview

Production planning and management

• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly perfume production schedules.
• Supervise perfume filling, bottle decoration, labeling, packing, and finishing.
• Meet customer and wholesale order deadlines; monitor production targets, productivity, operational efficiency, and urgent priorities.

Inventory and materials

• Coordinate with inventory and purchasing teams and monitor availability of oils, alcohol, bottles, caps, pumps, labels, and packaging materials.
• Prevent shortages, wastage, and unnecessary stock accumulation; maintain accurate consumption and stock records.

Quality and factory operations

• Ensure consistent product quality, implement SOPs, and supervise inspections of filling, crimping, labeling, packaging, and finished products.
• Reduce defects, leakage, breakage, and complaints; maintain hygiene, safety, and GMP practices.
• Supervise factory and packing staff, assign work, monitor performance, and maintain factory discipline and cleanliness.
• Coordinate machine maintenance, reduce downtime, and maintain workplace safety.

Product improvement and reporting

• Coordinate new product launches, feasibility testing, production trials, and commercialization with management.
• Recommend process improvements and ways to reduce production costs and material wastage.
• Report on orders, material consumption, wastage, staff productivity, and production costs; coordinate with sales, warehouse, purchasing, and accounts.
• Maintain production records using ERP or inventory software.

Candidate requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in perfume or cosmetics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of perfume filling, crimping, labeling, and packaging; experience managing production workers and factory operations.
• Understanding of production planning, inventory management, quality control, GMP, workplace safety, and manufacturing SOPs.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills; good English communication skills.
• ERP, Zoho, or similar production management software experience is advantageous.
• UAE perfume manufacturing experience is strongly preferred; prior work in a production, factory, or production supervisor role in a UAE perfume company is of particular interest.
