Production Labourer - Nightshift

Position Summary

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Handle materials inside the shop and outdoors as required.
• Assist machine operators with setup and material movement using hoists and forklifts.
• Operate hand tools, powered hand tools, and equipment under company procedures.
• Load and unload pipe deliveries and pickups.
• Stack and unstack pipe according to strict procedures.
• Follow safety, quality, and company policies.
• Clean and organize work areas and participate in training and safety meetings.

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to meet deadlines while working safely.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use small hand tools or power tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to understand drawings and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Basic Grade 12 mathematics skills.

Education and Experience

• Grade 12 or GED is preferred.
• Additional education beyond high school is an asset.
• Forklift training or experience is an asset.
• Overhead crane experience or certification is preferred.
• Manufacturing or similar experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

• The work involves shop and outdoor material handling, pipe movement, equipment assistance, and housekeeping.
• The position may involve various shifts and overtime depending on the work scope.
