Maintenance Millwright Apprentice

The Maintenance Millwright (Journeyperson) performs electrical and mechanical up-keep and repairs facilities, buildings, and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and makes necessary repairs. Assists in setting up and maintaining an ongoing preventive maintenance program for the facility. Maintains an organized, safe and clean work area. Active participation in FET’s Health, Safety and Environment program is required. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

This position is based on nightshift and may require periodic weekend work as well as overtime.

Registered apprentice preferred or equivalent experience.

2+ years of previous experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment.

Experience performing mechanical repairs for different varieties of machines.

Prior experience and/or certification with overhead cranes and rigging.
