Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site
Production and Supply Chain Manager
role based in Doha, Qatar.
The Production and Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end production planning, procurement coordination, supplier management, inventory control, logistics, quality standards, and timely product availability across the business.
The role will ensure that products are sourced, produced, received, stored, and supplied efficiently while maintaining cost control, quality standards, and business continuity.
The manager will work closely with sales, operations, finance, warehouse, suppliers, and leadership teams to ensure stock availability, reduce slow-moving inventory, improve supply chain efficiency, and support business growth.
Production Planning & Coordination
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate production activities based on sales demand, seasonal requirements, and business priorities.
- Ensure production timelines are aligned with showroom, online, corporate, and campaign requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
- Track production progress, identify delays, and take corrective action to avoid business disruption.
- Maintain production schedules, order status reports, and delivery timelines.
Supply Chain Management
- Manage the complete supply chain process from procurement planning to product delivery.
- Ensure smooth coordination between suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse, sales, and retail teams.
- Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities to reduce cost, delay, and operational inefficiency.
- Develop supply chain processes that support timely product availability and better stock movement.
- Maintain proper documentation for purchase orders, shipments, deliveries, invoices, and supplier records.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, quality expectations, and delivery conditions.
- Build strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and timely supply.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to delays, quality, pricing, or documentation.
- Support management in vendor selection, supplier comparison, and cost optimization.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouse and showrooms to ensure proper stock availability.
- Coordinate stock replenishment based on sales trends, demand forecasts, and product movement.
- Track fast-moving, slow-moving, and dead stock items and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with sales and operations teams to plan controlled stock movement, transfers, and clearance strategies.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock checks, reconciliation, and system updates.
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet required quality, finishing, packaging, and brand standards.
- Coordinate quality checks for incoming goods, production samples, and final deliveries.
- Manage quality issues with suppliers and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain quality control records and ensure defective or damaged items are properly reported.
- Support continuous improvement in product quality and supplier performance.
Logistics & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate local and international shipments, customs clearance, delivery schedules, and warehouse receiving.
- Ensure products are stored properly to prevent damage, loss, or quality deterioration.
- Monitor warehouse operations, dispatch planning, and stock transfers between branches.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to showrooms, customers, and corporate clients.
- Work with logistics partners to improve delivery efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Work with sales and management teams to understand demand trends and upcoming business requirements.
- Support seasonal buying plans, campaign stock planning, and new collection launches.
- Analyze sales data, stock movement, and customer demand to recommend procurement and production quantities.
- Reduce overstocking and stock shortages through better planning and forecasting.
- Provide management with stock availability and supply risk reports.
Cost Control & Process Improvement
- Monitor procurement, production, logistics, and storage costs.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or brand standards.
- Improve supply chain processes, documentation, approval workflows, and reporting methods.
- Recommend system improvements for inventory tracking, supplier management, and stock visibility.
- Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on production status, stock availability, supplier performance, shipment status, and inventory movement.
- Analyze stock aging, slow-moving items, delivery delays, and cost variations.
- Provide management with actionable insights to support better decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records for procurement, production, logistics, and inventory control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in production, procurement, supply chain, inventory, logistics, or operations management.
- Experience in retail, fashion, leather goods, luxury products, manufacturing, or trading business is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of supplier management, inventory control, demand planning, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to manage production schedules, shipment timelines, and stock availability.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of ERP, inventory management systems, procurement tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with suppliers, warehouse teams, sales teams, finance, and senior management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Doha, Qatar.
