We have an opportunity for a Product Specialist to support our growing business in our Surgical Division to provide product training and sales support to distribution partners primarily in Saudi Arabia and potentially in other Middle Eastern countries.

This role will report to the Country Sales Manager Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh.

As a member of the Surgical Business Unit, this essential commercial position will have a high degree of autonomy and responsibility to help deliver the revenue growth expectations through more in-depth product utilization and customer adoption through consistent product training and sales support primarily to our distribution partners but also to customers.

Key Responsibilities

The Product Specialist – Surgical will be pivotal in developing the surgical business by acquiring knowledge and expertise.

The role will provide support to the sales operation of our distributors and support customers daily with product training, providing technical expertise through product presentations, demonstration, and support, both virtually and in-person.

Working closely with colleagues from Sales, Marketing and Clinical Medical Affairs, the job holder will conduct regular product trainings and facilitate the identification of opportunities for clinical and medical education in collaboration with their respective CMA referral for key customers.

This is with the aim to drive the growth through more in-depth product utilization, building confidence of the operator through everyday use and using the latest supporting materials to ensure the customer understands the product and its benefit both to clinical practice and patient.

The role will be deeply involved in driving the execution of the associated commercial tactical plans needed to increase awareness and uptake of Teleflex surgical products across the country (region).

You will be working alongside the Country Sales Manager to target key accounts in close collaboration with our local distributors, maximize operational efficiency, implement business strategy, attend key customer meetings and conferences and liaise with and develop a Key Opinion Leader network.

While the role will initially be a supporting role, as the customer base grows in key accounts and expertise is attained in the product range, the position will take on further responsibility for developing new accounts in all the Saudi territory.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Ideally proven experience of selling / supporting medical devices in surgery, but other relevant experience such as Surgical equipment would also be considered.
  • University degree in a life sciences / engineering or business-related subject.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • A strong team player, have a strong work ethic, and a can-do attitude.
  • Valid driver's license.
