The Product & Pricing Executive supports the Product & Pricing leadership team in shaping and executing pricing and product strategies across the BYD and Denza portfolios in the Kingdom.
The role combines market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and commercial analytics to drive profitable volume, sharp positioning, and disciplined launch execution.
This is a high-visibility analytical role that directly influences list pricing, margin protection, and product readiness decisions taken by senior leadership.
Success is measured in pricing accuracy, margin performance, launch readiness, and the speed at which the executive turns data into commercial recommendations.
Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Conduct pricing and product analysis to support competitive list price setting, price walks, and pricing policy decisions across BYD and Denza ranges.
- Prepare equalization and value-adjusted pricing studies to position each model accurately against direct and indirect competitors.
- Maintain and update pricing conditions in SAP and pricing systems, ensuring correct setup across all sales channels and business units.
- Process pricing approvals, discount structures, and fleet/customer pricing requests in line with governance frameworks.
- Support implementation of new model pricing, model year changes, and special tactical actions.
Product Lifecycle & Market Analysis
- Develop and support full product & pricing proposals for all BYD and Denza models, including trim strategy, specification mix, and 3–5 year volume planning.
- Conduct continuous market and segment analysis, competitive benchmarking, and feature-to-price comparisons.
- Track monthly price mix, market positioning, and competitive movements, translating findings into clear commercial recommendations.
- Support marketing teams with USP development, specification sheets, and product content aligned to positioning strategy.
Margin & Profitability Management
- Monitor gross margin performance across models, trims, and customer segments, flagging deviations early to leadership.
- Recommend pricing adjustments to protect profitability while sustaining volume targets.
- Support analysis and pricing actions for aged stock, excess inventory, and end-of-cycle models.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles with accurate pricing assumptions.
Product Launches
- Support launch readiness meetings for new models, facelifts, and model year updates.
- Align pricing, positioning, stock planning, and aged-stock runout strategy ahead of every launch milestone.
- Ensure timely availability of accurate product and pricing data for sales, marketing, and dealer network teams.
Data, Reporting & Insight
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly pricing, margin, and sales performance reports for management review.
- Identify pricing anomalies such as below-cost transactions, margin leakage, or non-compliant discounting and escalate appropriately.
- Build and maintain dashboards and KPI views that improve commercial decision speed.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Aftersales, and OEM regional teams to ensure consistent execution of pricing and product decisions.
- Coordinate with OEM principals on product development inputs, specification alignment, and pricing approvals.
- Support communication and rollout of price changes across the dealer network.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Safeguard pricing data integrity in SAP and related platforms.
- Contribute to pricing logic enhancements, automation initiatives, and SOP improvements that increase accuracy and reduce manual effort.
Required Skills To Be Successful
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert pricing, margin, and market data into commercial recommendations.
- Solid commercial awareness of automotive retail dynamics — pricing, margin, mix, discounting, and lifecycle management.
- Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SAP, Power BI, or Tableau is a strong advantage.
- Sharp attention to detail and high data-accuracy discipline under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management across Sales, Finance, Marketing, and OEM teams.
- Ownership mindset, structured problem solving, and ability to operate in a fast-moving commercial environment.
- Comfort working with senior leadership and presenting analysis with clarity and conviction.
What Qualifies You For The Role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in pricing, product planning, commercial analytics, finance, or related roles within the automotive sector.
- Prior experience in an OEM, national distributor, or large dealer group strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP pricing modules and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
- GCC market exposure preferred; KSA market knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Working understanding of new energy vehicle (NEV/EV) market trends is a plus given the BYD and Denza portfolio focus.
