How we work

AI-native by default. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or equivalent are not occasional tools here. They are how we do PM work every day, from research synthesis to spec writing to prototyping. We will ask how you use them and we expect a real answer.

Customer-centric culture. PMs at DriveCentric spend time with the people who use our products. For reporting, that means dealership operators who live in these screens every day. If you only want to build from a backlog, this is not the role.

Lean and dense. Small team, high talent density, AI augmentation everywhere. We do not hire to fill org charts. We hire to multiply the leverage of the people already here.

Direct exposure. You report to the Staff PM for Data, CDP and Analytics, and work directly with the CPBO, VP of Product, the VP of Engineering, and our data platform and reporting leads. You will present to the executive team.

What you'll bring

3 or more years in product management, or a comparable path into product from analytics, data, implementation, or a dealership operations role where you owned outcomes and shipped change. What we care about is judgment and evidence you have shipped, not the title on your last badge.

Automotive retail experience. You have worked at a dealership, a dealer group, or a vendor serving them, and you know how a store actually runs. You can hold a conversation with a GM about closing ratio, gross, aged inventory, or BDC appointment set rate without needing it translated, and you understand why the number a sales manager trusts and the number in the CRM are not always the same. You will be in front of dealers early and often in this role, and credibility there is not something you can pick up on the job.

Fluency with data products. You have worked on or near reporting, dashboards, BI, or analytics products. You can read SQL, reason about a schema, tell the difference between a data problem and a UI problem, and pressure test an engineer's proposal without getting out-argued.

Migration and legacy instincts. You have moved customers off something they were comfortable with. You know that migration is a product problem, not a project plan, and you have opinions about how to make the new thing worth the switch.

AI shipping curiosity or history. You have shipped AI-powered features, or you can show us how you think about them: where the model helps, where it lies, how you evaluate output quality, and what you would put in front of a dealer versus what you would keep internal.

Clear writing. You write specs engineers respect, launch notes PMM can sell, and updates executives can read in ninety seconds. We will ask for a writing sample.

Operator energy. You move fast, push back when you disagree, and take ownership without being asked. You treat your manager as a peer.

Bonus points

Hands-on with Databricks, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI, Sigma, ThoughtSpot, or comparable embedded analytics platforms.

You have run an early access or beta program and have scar tissue about cohort selection.

You have owned a product line where support escalations were the primary feedback loop.

Experience with dimensional modeling, ETL tradeoffs, or data quality programs.
