Role Description
The Product Category Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with the flexibility to work both on-site and from home.
This role is responsible for managing and optimizing product categories within the app, including defining category strategies, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting market and competitor analysis, reviewing user data and business performance, and recommending improvements to category structures and offerings.
The role involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams to align category strategies with user needs and business objectives.
The Product Category Manager will also support onboarding of new business partners into relevant categories and ensure a consistent, engaging experience for community users.
Qualifications
- Strong category management expertise, including experience defining and optimizing product categories.
- Proficiency in market analysis and use of analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Background in product management, with the ability to collaborate on feature requirements and roadmap priorities.
- Understanding of sales processes and the ability to support category-related sales initiatives and partner onboarding.
- Experience working with digital products, apps, or online platforms, ideally in community or marketplace environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple categories and projects part-time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- Familiarity with the Dubai market and local business ecosystem is an advantage.
