We’re now looking for a

highly experienced Product Advisor

to work closely with the founder in an

advisory capacity

and help shape the next stage of the product.

About The Role

This is

not a full-time Product Manager role

.

We’re looking for a

very experienced product leader

who has built or led product in

consumer social, community, marketplace, or network-driven products

, and can bring practical, high-level judgment to our product strategy.

The role is designed for someone who can quickly identify what matters, challenge assumptions, and help guide decisions around

engagement, retention, product experience, and long-term scale

.

You’ll work directly with the founder to pressure-test ideas, review product priorities, and help us build a stronger consumer social experience.

What You’ll Be Advising On

You would support on areas such as:

Product Strategy

  • Pressure-testing roadmap priorities and product decisions
  • Identifying the highest-leverage opportunities across onboarding, engagement, retention, and monetization
  • Helping shape the long-term product strategy for a friendship and community platform

Consumer Social Product Thinking

  • Improving user activation and the early product experience
  • Increasing messaging, reply rates, and quality of conversations
  • Strengthening engagement loops and reasons for users to return
  • Advising on trust, community, and interaction design within a social product

Retention & Growth

  • Reviewing user behavior, funnels, and retention challenges
  • Helping define the right product KPIs and success metrics
  • Recommending experiments to improve engagement and product stickiness

Market & Scaling Perspective

  • Bringing a strong perspective on what would or wouldn’t work in highly competitive consumer markets
  • Helping assess how the product should evolve as it scales

Who We’re Looking For

  • We’re looking for someone who has
  • actually built or led product in a consumer product used frequently by users
  • , ideally where
  • social behavior, community, trust, or repeat engagement
  • were central to the product.
  • Ideal background
  • **8+ years of product experience**
  • , with time spent in senior product leadership roles
  • Experience in
  • consumer social, community, marketplace, creator, or communication products
  • Strong intuition for
  • retention, habit formation, social mechanics, and user behavior
  • A track record of improving
  • activation, engagement, and repeat usage
  • Experience working closely with founders, startups, or early-stage consumer teams
  • Ability to provide practical, strategic advice rather than generic product theory
  • Especially relevant if you’ve worked on
  • Social or community platforms
  • Messaging or communication products
  • Consumer marketplace or network-driven products
  • Products where
  • trust, interaction quality, and retention
  • are critical

Working Format

  • **Advisory / part-time**
  • Approx.
  • 2 calls per month
  • Roughly
  • 1–2 hours per week equivalent
  • depending on involvement
  • Remote is completely fine
  • We care far more about
  • depth of judgment and relevant experience
  • than availability

Compensation

Paid advisory arrangement.
