We are looking for an experienced
Procurement Specialist – Packaging Materials
to join our team on a
maternity cover basis
.
This role is critical to ensuring continuity across packaging sourcing activities and supporting ongoing operations within an FMCG environment.
In this position, you will manage the
end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) process
, focusing on packaging materials such as
bottles, pouches, films, corrugates, and closures
.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and compliance with procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage RFPs/RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of packaging materials while minimizing prepayments
- Monitor procurement KPIs and ensure adherence to internal SOPs
- Actively manage supplier relationships and resolve delivery, quality, or documentation issues
- Support packaging innovation, NPD timelines, and sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Quality, Finance, and Operations teams
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in
- FMCG, trading, or retail
- Strong hands-on experience with
- packaging materials sourcing
- Proficiency in
Sap Mm
,
Excel
- , and procurement analytics
- Solid understanding of
- packaging material markets
- , cost drivers, and indexes
- Strong knowledge of
Incoterms
- and import/export documentation
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver under tight timelines
