Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Procurement Operations Manager at Student Partnership Program - برنامج الشراكة الطلابية, based in Abu Dhabi with flexibility for partial work from home.
The Procurement Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing vendors, obtaining quotations, and managing purchase orders in line with institutional policies and budget guidelines.
The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritizing requests, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
The manager will monitor supplier performance, support contract execution and renewals, and maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation.
The role also includes identifying process improvements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls, and preparing periodic reports on spend, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, assess options, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience in operations management, with a focus on coordinating processes, optimizing workflows, and maintaining accurate records.
- Hands-on experience in procurement and purchasing activities, including vendor sourcing, quotation comparison, and purchase order management.
- Knowledge of contract management practices, such as reviewing key terms, tracking contract status, and supporting renewals and compliance.
- Understanding of supply chain management principles, including lead times, inventory considerations, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, students, and external suppliers.
- High attention to detail, integrity in handling financial and contractual information, and commitment to transparent, ethical procurement practices.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and basic familiarity with procurement or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in procurement or operations.
- Ability to manage part-time hours effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a hybrid work environment based in Abu Dhabi.
